We are looking for an Indonesian SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER with > 10-15 years of experience. Experience in deep-water drilling together with onshore drilling in Indonesia, is preferable. Candidate will provide drilling technical expertise focused on improving drilling performance and cost. This position will provide guidance to the Drilling Manager in all aspects of well planning together with providing technical/engineering and operations support to the drilling operations, including drilling project management, implementation of new technologies, innovate work practices and cost saving Initiatives. The individual will have responsibility for optimizing well planning, well design, drilling program preparation and issue of well cost estimation to management and relevant authorities. Above all, we emphasize on a candidate’s good reporting, problem solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment.

We are looking for : Senior Drilling Engineer
Key Responsibilities :
  • Prepares cost estimates and engineering work (including drilling programmes) related to concept screening, planning, design and construction of wells drilled by Premier Oil Indonesia.
  • Provides technical support to the tendering and procurement process to ensure that cost effective and adequate materials and services are utilized in the operations whilst all applicable procurement regulations are met.
  • Provides day-to-day operations engineering support to the rig(s).
  • During critical/unusual operations provides technical support at the rig site.
  • Assists in the control and co-ordination of emergency situations occurring during operations.
  • Updates operational procedures as operations progress or fall outside the original well design.
  • Participates in pre and post-well reviews (involving the onshore and offshore teams), including risk assessments, to identify improvements in performance or HSE.
  • Prepares final reports, including End of Well Reports and lessons learned documents. Reviews well cost reconciliations.
  • Initiates and attends regular meetings with other company disciplines, contractors and regulatory bodies during the planning and execution of drilling, completion and testing related operations.
  • Performs non-routine tasks as directed by the Chief drilling Engineer or as opportunity presents, in order to meet Department and Company goals. Ensures that he and other relevant people are kept informed of all major opportunities, developments or problems that will impact on the business.
  • Promotes sharing of knowledge between Indonesian PSC s wherever practicable.
  • Carries out work in other Premier business units or on assignment to other Indonesian PSC s as requested by Drilling Manager.
  • Ensures that all activities conducted comply with the highest ethical standards, all standard Operating Procedures and all Company and government regulations.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 7 years experience with an Oil & Gas company.
  • University degree (Bachelor) in an engineering discipline, preferably majoring in oil and gas science or petroleum engineering.
  • Fluent in both written & spoken English.
  • Very proficient with computers and standard well engineering software.

  • A team player who works effectively in a multi-discipline setting; good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively across functions ie. with drilling and production.
  • Ability to interpret field production data and integrate into reservoir simulator.
  • Creative thinker willing to challenge the status quo in search of better and improved ways of doing things.

3. SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST

  • Good all-round interpretation skills. Understanding of amplitudes and seismic attributes. Understanding of seismic processing and data limitations.
  • Workstation experience - Seisworks (2D and 3D). Must be prepared to adapt to a volume interpretation environment.
  • Ability to understand and integrate geologic data and models with geophysical interpretations. Appreciation for the genesis and evolution of basins and associated hydrocarbon systems. Understanding of shale tectonics and basin modelling and fluid flow.
  • Team Player. Flexible and open-minded. Well developed interpersonal skills.
  • Creative. Able to generate and champion new ideas. Enthusiastic and optimistic.
  • Independent, self-starter. Influences own work direction.
  • Good communication and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of ProACT is a plus.

4. TREASURY/ FINANCE STAFF

  • S1 degree in accountancy.

1. CHIEF WELL INTERVENTION ENGINEER (Code : CWIE)
Cooperate with Business Unit petroleum engineers in the work program preparation, provide service activities for business units and drilling department to achieve oil production and profit target and recommend alternative technical solutions to efficiently establish exploitation strategy in order to maximizing oil recovery.

Personnel Qualification : University graduate in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering) with a minimum 10 yrs experience in Oil and Gas Industry and familiar with general drilling operations, artificial lift, production engineering, reservoir engineering, and well completions in particular.

2. SR DRILLING ENGINEER (Code : SDE)
Responsible for dedicated drilling well files, post-well reports, offset well study, design wells, AFE estimation, and preparation of the most cost-effective and practicable drilling procedures.

Personnel Qualification : B.S. Petroleum Engineering or Related engineering field. Minimum 7 years of diversified petroleum industry experience in drilling, completion and workover activities.

3. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (Code : SE)
Develops new-build offshore structural designs, structural modifications to existing facilities, and detailed design documentation that is in compliance with international standards and CNOOC’s QHSE requirements.

Personnel Qualification : University degree in Offshore or Civil Engineering. Minimum 5 years experience in structural engineering/offshore construction.

4. SR. RESERVOIR ENGINEER (Code : SRE)
Functions as a professional (advisor to management) in reservoir engineering and project economic with expertise in reservoir simulation.

Personnel Qualification : BS/MS degree in Petroleum Engineering. Minimum 7 years experience in the Exploration activities.

5. SR. GEOLOGIST (Code : SGL)
Reviews and evaluates the new bid exploration blocks offering, the “Farm-in” opportunities offering. Technically evaluates non-operated property s proposed exploration and development wells. Investigates exploration potential in CNOOC for management’s decision by doing the well data interpretation, key layer maps, cross sections, and calculation of hydrocarbon deposits within the structure. Overall analysis of the petroleum system.

Personnel Qualification : University graduated in Geology.- Experiences in generating exploration prospects, generating and proposing development well prospects, overseas job training, and working in other basins. Knowledge in Petroleum Geology, Structural Geology, Seismic Interpretation, Sequence or Seismic, Stratigraphy, Log Evaluation, Risk Analysis.

6. SR. GEOPHYSICIST (Code : SGP)
Interprets seismic data and collaborate with geological; and petrophysical data to get subsurface structure and reservoir distribution map and creates associated attributes using many method to do reservoir characterization in the field.

Personnel Qualification : University graduate Geophysics/Geophysical Engineering or related fields geophysics. Minimum 7 years experience in the geophysical study.

7. SR. ECONOMICS ANALYST (Code : EA)
Provides supports related to all kinds of project economics and statistics to all Departments, maintains economic model up-to-date, studies historical operating costs to determine unit costs to be used for better with operating costs projection.
