Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate analysis of physical and financial data, reports and recommendations to support effective operating cost control and capital spending within the respective Divisions.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Apply scientific principles and techniques in mechanical engineering situations
  • Interpret technical drawing , specifications and manuals
  • Undertake specific project management activities in accordance with agreed project management plan
  • Gather, validate, store, retrieve, filter and disseminate information as directed within agreed procedures to aid decision making processes throughout project life cycle.
  • Monitor aspects of project scope and report instances of non-compliance with overall scope.
  • Use techniques to measure, record and report variance between actual and planned progress of project activities.
  • Prepare, storage, and release under delegated authority technical reports and project documentation associated with project.
Requirements
  • Mechanical engineering background with good academic standing.
  • Minimum 5 (five) years working experience in fixed plant construction. Experience in executing bulk material handling projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

* Undertake short and long term production and financial planning to determine the resources required to operate the pit, manage operating cost within budget, identify key issues and satisfy production goals.
* Support daily technical aspects of the pit operation such as short and long term planning, blast design, drainage and road design to assist in achieving agreed coal production targets.
* Undertake environmental rehabilitation and design process as an integral part of both short and long term planning in line with PC’s environmental policy.
* Prepare Geotechnical/Planning reports and documents to ascertain drainage, geological blasting and environmental issues impacting pit coal production.

Superintendent Reclamation Operations

Responsibilities:

* Identify any Reclamation Operation activities as require based on New Environmental Law/Decree, Company Legal Documents (AMDAL, Mine Closure), current Company Environmental Performance and current/future technology available.
* Discussion with Environmental Manager/Superintendents, HSES GM, Environmental Consultants and other relevant Department Manager/Superintendents in KPC organization or external parties to get input or verification issues/problem.
* Prepare and propose the section strategy and activity plans in internal Environmental Department, across relevant Department/Sections and third parties.
* Manage and control daily, weekly, monthly and yearly plan implementation.
* Prepare QA/QC on any Reclamation Operation activities.
* Direct and oversee Reclamation Operation activities; allocate appropriate resources of contractors; ensure procedures are followed.
* Analyze the operation data, review and feedback the result to relevant Departments/Section and other parties.
* Discuss findings with the related parties, mainly with contractors; discuss solutions and responsibilities.

  • Provide timely and reliable geotechnical advice to mine and civil planners in order to optimise pits and dumps for the maximum, safe extraction of the coal resources
  • Collect, analyze and model data on the Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) potential of the overburden in order to allow for proactive planning, scheduling and selective placement of the Over Burden in the waste dumps according to the KPC Rehabilitation Specification
Qualifications:

Key elements of the position Includes :

  • Analyze training and development needs and priorities
  • Deliver professional development programs for KPC employees to raise competence and performance levels.
  • Demonstrate and encourage implementation of KPC business improvement, HSE, vision and mission in training activities.
  • Monitor progress of course participants during training sessions and provide appropriate feedback to ensure learning outcomes are being met.

Key Elements of the position include :

  • Lead the OHS Information & Management System Section activities to ensure quality services provided to all KPC divisions, departments and contractors
  • Coordinate development, review, update, and publication of KPC Prima Nirbhaya OHS Management System, standards, and requirements to ensure that the system meets OHSAS18001, legal and other relevant requirements and supports the achievement of KPC OHS goals and targets
  • Manage documentations and records related to KPC PN OHS Management System to ensure security, availability and accessibility for relevant parties, traceability for audit and review purposes
  • Review quality of incident and workplace/area inspection to ensure sufficient information is covered, reported and followed up within time frame
  • Manage good communication and liaison with Intelex Canada and other system/software providers/suppliers for technical issues, support, maintenance, training, and necessary updates of system/software used at KPC
  • Monitor Prinutama/Intelex and Statistic in relation to: frequency of usage on site, correct use and functionality, identification of technical problem, request for enhancement

Qualifications :

  • Minimum S1 in science or relevant field and minimum 7 years working in a mining environment, or D3 with minimum 10 years experience, preferably in a mining environment. Will need 3 - 4 year to become competent.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management System, such as NOSA, OHSAS1 8001, etc.
  • Through knowledge of the Prima Nirbhaya OHS Management System is advantage
  • Good experience in safety management system auditing. Possession of OHSAS18001 Lead Auditor certificate is an advantage

Superintendent - Safety Monitoring & Commissioning
Key Elements of the position include :

  • Plan, direct and monitor the section s activities and staff in order to achieve business goals that are consistent with departmental objectives, occupational health and safety targets and PN requirements
  • Liaise with contractors and KPC personnel in all divisions to facilitate a better understanding of safety, occupational health and PN requirements and oversee the monitoring of their adherence to those requirements, the identification of problem areas and recommendations on improvement strategies
  • Provide advice and guidance to KPC and contractor management and safety co-ordinators on the implementation of PN occupational health and safety management systems and standards in the workplace, and ensure they are being implemented consistently across the site
  • Oversee and manage specific safety initiatives and programs, improve identified shortcomings and investigate specific issues
  • Ensure appropriate safety procedures and standards are in place and that Company and contractor employees are made aware of them
  • Develop SWP and other safety policy used across KCP sites, socialised and monitor the implementation. Observe, analyse and develop the changes of these may be required due to the changes of the practical conditions it the field
  • Identify the problems related in safety implementation at all divisions by discussing with Divisional Safety Co-ordinators. Leading in the finding the best problem solving, monitor and control the implementation
  • Liaise with representative of Government, independent auditing institution, and Share Holders for safety audits and system implementation

Qualifications :

  • S1 Degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Mining Engineering). Post graduate qualifications in safety related area is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years prior experience working as an engineer, preferably in a mininum environment is essential. Would require another 3 - 5 years to become competent in this position
  • Extensive experience and proven skills in the Occupational Health and Safety field, preferably with exposure to the mining (ideally open cut mines) or construction industries. Knowledge/experience with OHSAS18001 is an advantage.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills to liaise with KPC personnel and various external groups
  • Sound decision-making skills to address and handle a wide variety of issues
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills

Key elaments of the position include:
  • Plan, develop and implement the Department budget and workload to determine priorities, provide direction to employees and meet goals within professional, time, safety and cost guidelines.
  • Manage the following services, advise and guide management and staff on the following services to resolve technical matters.
    • Data centre operations, including Windows and Unix servers, to maintain the availability, reliability, and integrity of business data.
    • Personal computers (both workstation, desktop, and notebooks), printers, and peripherals, to ensure their availability and reliability to support company operations.
    • Data telecommunication network and operation, including data telecommunication links between Jakarta office and site operation offices and inter-building data communication links in the site operations.
    • Voice telecommunication network and operation, including two-way radio communication and telephone communication.
    • Cable Television network and operation in the employee housing areas.
  • Oversee the section s activities to keep up-to-date with work issues, monitor the effectiveness of tools and techniques employed and maximize efficiencies.
  • Participate and contribute to Information Technology meetings to highlight infrastructure support and operations activities, gather Information and ideas for utilization within the operation and understand the key issues impacting the Division.
  • Direct and manage the Department to meet business targets, adhering to Company and Government standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance of Company IT infrastructure facilities, within cost, quality and organization standards as well as meet the needs of internal customers.
  • Implement IT Disaster Recovery Plan and IT Business Continuity Plan to ensure the integrity of business information.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification S1 or Master Degree in an Information Technology based business discipline from a reputable university, or another tertiary qualification with extensive experience and proven skills in Information Technology.
  • Around 10-15 years experience in managing IT Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and skills in managing server with various OS, data and voice communication, and network security.
  • Knowledge and skills in managing service contracts and outsourced services.
  • Familiar with internationally recognised standards in Information Technology fields.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and presentation skill.
  • Qualifications in Unix & Windows server administration and Microsoft Windows system, personal computer administration, and network administration.
  • Ability to facilitate/manage teams in the achievement of common goals.

Manager – Legal (Reporting to CEO)
Main elements of the position description Include:

  • Responsible for handling all potential legal matters, including analysis, evaluation and defense of any legal issue.
  • Provide legal and policy advice and services to ensure that KPC strategic and operational needs are achieved with maximum legal compliance.
  • Coordinate, track and analyse all cases involving KPC, and carry out consultation / negotiation and research required.
  • Assist KPC management in the formulation of proposals which would improve the overall functioning of the dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect KPC operations and implement policy and procedural changes as required, and provide necessary update for all KPC management.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with all legal documentation requirements
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring and recording systems are in place to capture information relevant to legal cases and provide update/progress report to management regarding issues resolution.
  • Proof all published material that contains advice or legal information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Represent KPC at external meetings, conferences and committees related to legal and policy issues and negotiate detailed outcomes in accordance with broad policy directions.
  • Manage external lawyers and provide strategic advice for settlement of legal dispute or litigations.

Qualifications and experience:

  • S1 degree in Law with at least 10 years experience in a law firm or related Industry.
  • Familiar with corporate legal activities.
  • Good understanding in all relevant law and regulations, especially in mining and forestry law is more preferable.
  • Good skill in interpersonal relationship, negotiation and lobbying.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Pw. Point).
  • Possess good communication skill in Indonesian and English.
  • Possess strong capability to work as a team.
  • High commitment to safety standard & business ethic.

Specialist Safety Monitoring and Commissioning (Code: SMC)
Key elements of the position include :
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate safety monitoring programs, i.e. Compliance Monitoring & Reporting (CMR), On Spot Monitoring (OSM), and vehicle/equipment condition monitoring
  • Conduct safety monitoring / inspection both as per schedules and as requested or directed by the Superintendent
  • Monitor the progress of follow up actions recommended from the monitoring programs to ensure close loop, including recheck at the work place for critical areas
  • Analyze monitoring records and trends for further evaluation and improvement
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate commissioning programs for contractors equipment
  • Carry out pre/re-commissioning inspection of contractors vehicles and mobile equipment; e.g. light vehicle, light truck, truck mounted crane, bus, heavy equipment, portable electrical equipment, and miscellaneous equipment including mobile crane, forklift, boat, barge, etc
  • Analyze commissioning records and trends for further evaluation and improvement
  • Ensure safety monitoring and commissioning processes are conducted in safe and efficient manner
  • Provide general safety technical services / supports as requested or directed by the Superintendent e.g. risk assessment, incident investigation, SOP, etc

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum S1 with 3 years experience or Senior High School with minimum 10 years experience in mobile equipment maintenance and/or mining operation
  • Excellent knowledge and skill in conducting safety monitoring program and other specialized safety technique (e.g. hazard identification and risk assessment, behavior monitoring, incident investigation)
  • Sufficient skill on compiling, organizing, and analysis of safety monitoring and commissioning data
  • Experience in conducting thorough inspection of vehicle and heavy mobile equipments are an advantage
  • Good interpersonal communication, presentation and report writing skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Good knowledge of KPC HSE Management System or similar HSE/OHS Management System

Specialist Safety Information System (Code: SIS)
Key elements of the position include :

  • Establish and maintenance Prinutama (Intelex) configuration to support the implementation of Prima Nirbhaya HSE Management System and requirements
  • Develop and implement forms and guidelines within Prinutama (Intelex) for OHS monitoring and inspection of all KPC activities and facilities in order to ensure that all areas monitored and inspected on a regular basis and in line with Prima Nirbhaya. Recheck and ensure the inspection data s input in PRINUTAMA and the follow up of recommended actions
  • Liaise with and assist KPC departments and main contractors staff to carry out incident/accident investigations in order to ensure that all requirements are met and that reports are developed in a correct and timely manner following the Prima Nirbhaya Standard and ensure the reports are resided in PRINUTAMA correctly
  • Provide services and support to departments regarding the application of Prinutama system, e.g. for incident data input, inspection scheduling and data input, emergency drill scheduling and debrief report input, etc
  • Produce OHS report to reflect departments, divisions and KPC performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to enable management to review OHS performance and trends for the basis of improvement strategies
  • Organise and conduct training for Prinutama (Intelex) users
  • Up date all OHS requirements in the Prinutama System based on Indonesian Regulation, Prima Nirbhaya standard, and other relevant OHS requirements
  • Ensure Prinutama Data Base is capable of providing system support for the implementation and monitoring of KPC Prima Nirbhaya HSE Management System

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum S1 in Information Technology or computer science with 3 years working in a mining environment or D3 in Information Technology or computer science with 5 years experience
  • Good interpersonal & communication skill in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Good presentation skills. Experience in conducting/delivering training on computer applications is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in computerized data base development and management
  • Good knowledge of KPC Prima Nirbhaya HSE Management System or similar HSE/OHS Management System

1. Superintendent Emergency Preparedness & Response (Code: EPR)
Key elements of the position include:
  • Plan, lead and control in the provision of emergency and rescue response, fire fighting and fire prevention by monitoring daily activities and ensuring appropriate resources are allocated, work standard are being maintained, personnel are appropriately trained in accordance with Company policies, standards and procedures
  • Ensure that quick and effective appropriate action and control of any emergency situation is taken in order to minimize personal injury, property damage and environmental impacts so as to maintain good company image
  • Ensure that schedule is well established and implemented for periodical review of team competencies and inspection of equipment condition
  • Develop plan, co-ordinate and implement the emergency preparedness and response activities between Emergency Preparedness & Response Section and department or contractor volunteer teams in their remote areas to maintain and improve emergency rescue, fire fighting and prevention capacity
  • Ensure that relevant survey is conducted on all site buildings, installations and facilities to determine the availability and adequacy of alarm systems and fire fighting equipment
  • Ensure that the servicing of fire extinguishers, hydrants and alarm systems is well managed to ensure high standards of workmanship and safety are maintained
  • Ensure that regular inspection and checks are performed on all fire protection systems such as deluge systems, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire pumps and water supplies on the Company lease and sub-standard and/or defective systems are repaired at the earliest possible opportunity

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification S1 degree in related discipline with at least 7-10 years experience in Supervisory/Management role
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in fire fighting and emergency rescue operations, preferably in large mining operations
  • Excellent ability to identify and assess potential emergency situations in various parts of mining operation related processes and to develop appropriate emergency plan
  • Extensive experience in leading operational team, preferably emergency response team
  • Possess a thorough understanding of safety management systems and processes, risk analysis techniques and local government mining regulations

2. Superintendent Safety Audit (Code: SAS)
Key elements of the position include:

  • Plan and develop safety audit section business plan and budget annually in order to ensure that appropriate strategies and resources are in place which will support the achievement of maximum performance level of safety audit program
  • Develop and implement a staff development program to enhance the safety audit skill as well as general safety knowledge, skill, and experience of the full time and seconded auditors to ensure their level of competency before doing an audit
  • Regularly review the Safety Audit Section performance, in conjunction with Manager, to assess performance against critical task, resources and budget to monitor the effectiveness of the support strategy, cost and ensure that activities undertaken are consistent with Department and Division overall business plan and make changes as required
  • Monitor and communicate to management that a contractor is to be suspended from working within Company lease areas if it is evident from the safety audit result that safety in the contractor has been very poorly managed
  • Provide information to relevant Registered Contractor Custodians on the progress of actions from the audit recommendation, and if a surveillance audit will be conducted
  • Liaise with Managers and or General Managers to ensure that seconded staff is regularly supplied by them
  • Identify, mobilize, coach and management of additional resources as required
  • Coordination with external consultants in conjunction with safety audit program

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum D3/S1 in Occupational Health and Safety Science or S1 degree in mining or relevant subjects with minimum 7-10 years experience in safety related roles within mining industry
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Safety Management System and sound understanding on the Fatality Prevention Programs
  • Detailed knowledge of internal and external policies, procedures and regulations impacting on safety
  • Sound interpersonal skills and English proficiency
