Commencement of Arutmin Indonesia's loading terminal NPLCT in 1994, further raised the competitiveness and realibility of these coals. This facility provides Arutmin Indonesia with the capability to ship up to 14 million tonnes of coal per year to the International market.
In 2010, PT Arutmin Indonesia plans to produce 24.3 million tonnes of coal. The product contains 13.76 million tonnes of bituminous coal and 10.58 million tonnes of sub-bituminous coal. Of the coal produced, some are intended to supply the domestic demand, particularly the first 10,000-MWSteam Power Plant while others are to be exported.
