McDermott Indonesia, a leader in the field of Engineering and Construction for offshore Oil and Gas Industry, specializing in design, fabrication, installation and overall construction management of sophisticated marine Engineering Projects, would like to invite proficient, efficient and highly motivated applicants to be assigned to its Jakarta Purchasing Department for the positions of:
A. PROJECT PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
- Development of a supportable Project Procurement Plan to include strategies and execution details for purchasing, subcontracts, material control, expediting, logistics, and a purchasing responsibility matrix. Obtain required approvals and implement.
- Manage project procurement staffing levels and personnel assignments in such manner that a responsive, capable, and cost effective team of the right skill mix is maintained.
- General oversight and management of procurement activities and performance, providing direction and support to team members, so that procurement deliverables are obtained within project constraints of budget and schedule.
- Responsible for effective and timely reporting of status for procurement activities, expediting matters, material issues, and logistical activity in accordance with established project requirements.
- Responsible for adherence to Project Procurement Procedures, maintenance of accurate procurement files, and audit accountability.
- Prepare, or assist in preparing, project budgets, staffing plans, effort completion forecasts, etc.
- Responsible for commercial content of all orders, ensuring that all project negotiations and conditions are accurately reflected in the documents.
- Identify unexpected or unplanned risk issues to project management and assist in resolution.
Qualification:
- Ten (10) plus years experience in Project Procurement Management/ Materials Management on major EPC projects.
- International project experience preferred.
- Firm understanding of engineering, procurement and construction project interfaces, execution, control, and risk management.
- Sound knowledge of effective integrated project management systems.
- Good working knowledge of different types of contracts and advantages and disadvantages associated with each.
- Ability to function in Purchasing Agent, Subcontract Administrator, and Material Control roles.
- Effective communication and presentations skills.
- Effective problem solver.
B. LEAD BUYERS
To buy Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Major Equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- To solicit quotations and place purchase orders for major Equipment Packages relating to the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Good negotiation, communication, Inter-personal, planning and coordination skills are essential.
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions of sale with suppliers for major equipment packages.
- Prepare commercial bid tabulations.
- Make purchasing decisions based on price, delivery and suitability of vendor.
- Confirm acceptability of suppliers invoices.
- The ability to be able to supervise other Buyers to work diligently to strict procurement procedures.
- Assist in maintaining good relations with suppliers and information on market trends.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have an Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation from a recognized university.
- At least 10 years experience in procurement related to the oil and gas industry.
- Fluency in written and spoken English a must.
- Must have Microsoft Office applications skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours when required.
C. LEAD EXPEDITOR
Job responsibilities:
- Ability to supervise a team of Expeditors who are responsible for monitoring and expediting Oil and Gas Industry related major equipment, Valves, Structural and bulk materials for fast track Projects.
- To compile accurate weekly/ monthly reports showing the updated status for all materials purchased.
- To attend periodical meetings with management & clients to discuss expediting problems & resolves.
- To perform field expediting trips to vendor facilities to resolve problem purchases.
- To ability to perform ongoing training for your expediting team.
Qualifications:
- Must be a strong minded person with the ability to handle numerous ongoing expediting problems which happen on a daily basis.
- Candidate must have an Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation from a recognized university.
- At least 10 years experience in expediting related to the oil and gas industry.
- Fluency in written and spoken English a must.
- Must have Microsoft Office applications skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours when required.
